Sean Buckelew is the best! Sorry if you thought you were the best, do not cease to think you are the best, but the fact remains that Sean Buckelew is the best.
Sean is an animator and dear friend at school. Here is his blog. Every now and then, Sean calls on me to craft sweet musics for his movies. Sadly, I do not have many of these left (if anyone I know has a copy of “Party Sequence” or the song that played on the moon, let me know), but I do have the music for his recent animation, Mt. Olympus Hotel & Amusement Park.
Fun facts about these tunes:
1. Jesse Carsten, another dear friend, played the jazz guitar on the jazz epic. I played drums.
2. The Jazz track and the End track have all the earlier takes before them. So, one assumes, you should go to the end of the track if you’re reaalllyy dying to hear the real deal.
3. After a long period of not writing anything, the Olympus theme was like a diving force slapping me on the face with a phat tune. I proceeded to make a demo of how a full-length version of the song would sound.
I also did the music for the trailer to Mt. Olympus:
Which you can hear here.
The Olympus theme will show up again, somewhere, sometime. But I’m not telling you how, not quite yet.
P.S. I did get out of bed yesterday, and proceeded to craft what is possibly the best song I’ve ever done. Hyperbole? Maaaayyyyyyybe.

Dawg, you shouldn’t have. Not only do I have “Party Sequence” and “Space and Finale”, I also have “Flower Vision”, a McDuffie classic. I should post on my blog the uncut recording of “Man Struggling with Bear/Death of Man by Bear ft. Ian McDuffie”.
